New Carpet
The carpet men are here
installing not-my-first choice.
The choice is made for speed.
Yet as this house shapes up,
comes close to well done,
my raw emotions morph,
change shape at whim,
melt in the heat of hurry.
We’re moving closer to family,
leaving family,
leaving a beloved state.
I’m left in a state of turmoil.
But there’s coming in the going,
going in the coming.
I seek some stillness in the moving
and rest on a roll of padding,
When I rise,
it springs back into shape.
Love this! “…installing not-my-first choice…moving closer to family, leaving family…beloved state…state of turmoil…coming in the going…going in the coming.” Simply loved it. Read it twice, just for the melody.
Thanks, Marilyn. xo
Thanks for sharing your journey with this move and courageously facing the upheaval it creates in so many areas of your mind, heart, spirit, and physical space. Blessings on you, Sandra!
Thank you for this, Pam. The journey is easier with friends. 🙂
So good, Sandy. SO GOOD. Blessings to you in the chaos and the mixed-up feelings.
I know you know. Hugs to you, dear Diana.
Beautiful, Sandra!
Blessings for the move!
Ahhh, Martha. You always encourage me.
I’m here from Instagram and have been enjoying a few minutes looking around this beautiful space. I love your “About” description of yourself as a “recovering doer who’s learning to just. be. still.”. Me too! I’m adding your blog to my reader. I’ll be back!
Squeeee! It’s so good to see you here, Linda. Thanks for following me over. As you can see, things have been a little quiet here lately, but I hope to rectify that as soon as we get settled. 😀
