things and distractions
makes time feel shallower

Welcome to the Still Saturday Community where we pause after a busy week, move in quiet pilgrimage, maybe linger a while in some still place, and soak in the beauty of images and reflect on the depth of sparse words. We’d love for you to join us. Grab the button and link up below. We all love to hear if something especially speaks to your heart, but please don’t feel pressured to comment. Simply take some time to be still together, to gaze long and drink deep.

The imagery–goodness. And the image–more goodness. Thank you, Sandra. Thank you. xo

And thanks to Laura for the inspiration. 😉
Heather @ My Overflowing Cup says
Isn’t it an interesting truth that we we yearn for more quality by adding more quantity only to come up empty?
Love this reminder today, Sandra. Thank you.
Blessings to you and yours.
Sandra Heska King says
Your first sentence there is worth mulling over, Heather. Thank you!
Laurie Collett says
I love this, Sandra! May we be stretched so thin that only His light shines through us. Thanks for the beautiful post & for hosting & God bless!
Sandra Heska King says
That’s another great way to look at it. I’d want to be thin like that, too.
I think in the context of Laura’s book, she’s talking about our stretching ourselves thin with stuff and doing like a rubber band about to pop.
I’ll take the thinness that comes from being in the thin places with Him… Thanks for that, Laurie. Love to you.

I am overstuffed with stuff that I am trying to throw out little by little. Less complicated that way and makes me feel free! I just need to keep going! I stress less because I can find what I need! Less stressed this Sunday cuz there is nothing I had to do but be at church! And praise His name and hear the word spoken. Thanks for your thoughts!!!
Lyli @ 3-D Lessons for Life says
Thank you for always nudging us toward rest and renewal, Sandy. This is lovely.
