I feel like I just stepped into the wardrobe,
and I’m waiting,
waiting for “spring” in so many ways,
just waiting for summer,
running toward the mirage of the perfect life.
Cannot wait.

I hear you, Sandy – all those posted photos of the snow as we sit in some ourselves at the moment. Looking forward to spring with you! Blessings!

It can’t come too soon!

“running toward the mirage of the perfect life”
I will spend the day pondering this phrase, because somehow, in my audacity, I really do think that I can make it happen. Nope, it’s a mirage. Good reminder in your “found” poem.
Sandra Heska King says
Yeah… I chase those mirages, too. I’ll really appreciate it, though, when I can wake to the song of birds through the open window. 🙂
Sheila Kimball says
Cannot wait. That’s what flew off the screen!
While I am with you waiting for those lovely warm, long, lazy days of spring into summer {my favorite season} I hear an admonition in these words, too.
I CANNOT WAIT for what is coming but must find the beauty, joy, love and hope in all the present pieces of life.
Something for me to think about on a very still Sunday with snow coming and no church today as our only vehicle was damaged yesterday and needed to be towed to the garage. And I ask myself what is God trying to whisper to my heart as I wait for the car to be repaired which gives us freedom to roam at will.
And yet I am free! In Christ! No matter where I am or what is swirling all about.
Oh well, thanks Sandra for letting me share my musings of these moments still. Blessings to you, friend.
