This video moved me to tears. I hope I’m not totally puddled when I get to share the stories of face-to-face meetings. In January, I’ll pack my camera and my laptop when I travel with Compassion International as a blogger on a sponsor tour to the Dominican Republic.
I’ll probably puddle.

This is such a beautiful girl Sandy…….melts my heart too. I attended a Christian women’s conference last Oct. in Springfield MO with Jennifer Rothschild and Ann Voskamp speaking. Compassion Int’l put a packet of a child in each woman’s welcome folder. They gave you a choice to sponsor or not, but when I saw little three-y/o Williams’s face, my heart melted too. So we are sponsoring this precious child, also from the Dominican Republic!! Oh, I wish you could meet our baby. We’ll follow you on the blog and be praying for your journey there. God will use your words to open minds to the need and melt hearts with compassion.

Oh, sweet William. Wouldn’t that be something if I ran into him? We’ve sponsored a girl from Kenya for years. I considered sponsoring a DR child after I was invited to go, but felt more led to tell the stories of others. One of the bloggers I’ll travel with *will* be meeting her child, so it’ll be fun to hear the stories from her perspective.
I covet your prayers. I feel so inadequate for this.
I’m happy to pray. God will cover every need. I may even try to find out how to reach Williams (it’s spelled with an S on the end :-)), just in case…….who knows. God knows right where He is, and maybe He will cross your paths. So very excited for you and your blogging friends and the adorable children you will reach. My prayer is that your beautiful writing will encourage others to support these beloved children.

We have been supporters of this charity for years and pray that many would consider sponsoring a child or 2 of their own. What a wonderful Christmas gift this would be for those on your list who have everything and are impossible to shop for. Just a thought….
