When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said,
“I am the light of the world.
Whoever follows me
will never walk in darkness,
but will have the light of life.”
~John 8:12 (NIV)
“You are the light of the world.
A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.
Instead they put it on its stand,
and it gives light to everyone in the house.
~Matthew 5:14-15 (NIV)

I knew traipsing along to that Coleman Convention with my husband might come in handy. 😉
There you go! And they are perfect pictures for your scripture! 😉
Open my eyes…help me see. Happy Sunday Sandra!
Mine, too. Love to you, Lisha.
Yes! He is the Light of the world and we are to be His lights in the world. Thank you for this reminder.
This is beautiful Sandra. Your photographs add so much to the post and are really lovely. I’m overcome with shame at the moment for not realising how precious people’s artwork is. I just want to say that yours is quite special.
What great pictures you’ve chosen to shed fresh light on familiar scriptures. Let it be, Lord Jesus, shine brightly through us.
He shines though you, Pat.
Love the green lantern. Love these words. He is the Light. Blessings, Linda
I really didn’t want to go to this gathering that had come to town. I’m glad I did.
Beautiful! Love the photos! Visiting you from The Weekend Brew!
Hi, Mary. Welcome! I hope you had a lovely weekend.
YES! He IS the Light. And I so count on Him, moment-by-moment. I often feel that I don’t fit into this world very well, so paying attention to His Lightness is all I can do. AND, as usual, ya dun good photos with the Word. Thanks much, Sandy.
This world is not our home, so it’s no wonder so many don’t feel they fit here so well. Paying attention to His Lightness is the best thing we can do. 🙂
Thank you for the beautiful reminder today!
We were without Internet for several days, so I’m just now getting caught up with your beautiful faces and words. Sending a hug, Heather.
AMEN! He is the light!
Yes, He is! 🙂
Wonderful photos, Sandra! This post has jogged a memory of camping: pumping, pressurizing the lantern, striking the match, hanging the lantern high on a tent pole to bring light to a dark tent. You don’t realize how precious any kind of light is until you’re in an electricity-free environment.
Oh, how I miss camping. We’d usually set our lantern on the picnic table and play Scrabble. I’m hoping we don’t experience any more electricity-free days this winter like we did last Christmas. 🙂
