Winter’s worn out, and
it’s melting into dirty banks and muddy waves,
leaving browned tree skirts and revealing what’s been broken.
Our world is puddled from the weight of it.
I’ve learned:
When life gets messy, spring’s on its way.

Glorious words – favorite image! I may run right outside and snap a photo of my own lilac with the buds I noticed the other day! Yes – winter weather in my mind and heart threatening more storms and snowy days when all I’m longing for is the fresh air of spring and new life. Getting over the season . . .
Your 40 words and visual have helped this morning.
Taking joy!
Kathy
I couldn’t believe it. It’s been so cold, and yet the buds are pushing though anyway. Some seasons seem a lot longer than others… but spring always comes. Taking joy with you.
Oh, Sandra, God used these words to encourage me in an unexpected way today. Thank you!
I’m so glad! Thanks for letting me know. 🙂
True that.
😀
Love the hope in your words: “When life gets messy, spring’s on its way.” Oh, to remember that in those messy moments…Thanks, Sandra 🙂
Yes. Preaching to myself.
What a refreshingly sweet and tender spirit you have – much like the lovely picture you chose. Thank you for sharing your heart. Keep writing!
Thanks so much, Pat. 🙂
So glad to read this as my life has gotten messy as of late! So good to be in your cozy corner again!
So, so good to see you here, Kimberly!
It’s kinda messy here. 🙁 Waiting for spring to sprout. Oh, outside, too. 😉 Love this!
Hee Hee. Yes… inside out. 🙂
Winter’s worn out. So am I.. Loving your Lent series, Sandy.
I know you must be, dear friend. We need sunshine and fresh air. Lifting a prayer for you and yours right now.
So love this whole idea! Really neat. Don’t hate me. Looking both ways before I say it…I love Winter!
No hate here, Dawn. But winter has worn out its welcome here this year. In more ways than one. 😉
