Some days when I’m alone, the voices are too loud,
and the crowd pushes and jostles and steps on my feet,
and so it’s good to go off to a solitary place
where the commotion is crowded out by God.

In the stillness,

Linking also with Lisa-Jo and The Five Minute Friday community on the word prompt crowd. This piece only took five minutes, but I confess I fiddled a bit to make it fit into 40 words.
So awesome! Crowded out by God, love that! ♥
😀 😀
Love those solitary places filled with God . . .
Beautiful, Sandy!
I think I need to visit them more often.
I enjoy reading your words…we have similar things in common. More Grace to you as you give beauty and encouragement to all of us who visit here. (Stopping by from Five Minute Friday, donnaharris.wordpress.com)
Perfect Sandy. I cannot do well in a crowd for very long. I need that bit of time.
I too am participating in the 40 days of Lent NT reading challenge. Something I noticed in Mark 4 (the enemy mentioned in two parables) during this reading is what opened my eyes a bit more and prompted some of the thoughts in my FMF post. I love your 40 word posts. How creative. Brief but profound. Blessings
{sigh} Oh, this is so true! Wonderful, sweetie!
Sometimes, it’s only in the solitude, where we can really feel God “crowding out” the rest. For me, it’s so hard to get there sometimes, but so worth it!
