Good grief! I’ve never read that before. I can’t tell you what a joy and privilege it has been to honor my parents. Sadly, my beloved father passed away in 2007, but how I loved him. We did all we could to honor, respect, and help him, especially when he became so ill. And now our joy is in helping to care for my mother, though she remains basically independent. What truly saddens me about these verses is that I have seen in my extended family (not regarding my mother and father) children mocking their father. It breaks my heart. May we all seek to honor our heavenly Father by honoring those parents He gives us on earth. And our respect for them should never end, just because we happen to grow up and move out of the house.
Thanks for this verse, Sandy.

As usual, you’re a real thinker, grabber, person. Made me filled with “hmmm”… which is a good thing, doncha think? 😉
