Speak, Lord, in the stillness
While I wait on Thee;
Hushed my heart to listen,
In expectancy.
Speak, O blessèd Master,
In this quiet hour,
Let me see Thy face, Lord,
Feel Thy touch of power.
For the words Thou speakest,
“They are life” indeed;
Living Bread from Heaven,
Now my spirit feed!
All to Thee is yielded,
I am not my own;
Blissful, glad surrender,
I am Thine alone.
Fill me with the knowledge
Of Thy glorious will;
All Thine own good pleasure
In my life fulfill.
Like “a watered garden”
Full of fragrance rare,
Ling’ring in Thy presence
Let my life appear.
~Emily May Grimes (1864-1927)

Welcome to Still Saturday where we pause after a busy week, move in quiet pilgrimage, maybe linger a while in some still place, and soak in the beauty of images and words. We’d love for you to join us. Get the details on the left, grab your favorite button, and link up below. We all love to hear if something especially speaks to your heart, but please don’t feel pressured to comment. Simply take some time to gaze long and drink deep.

Yes, stillness. Sometimes it’s so very hard to find stillness, and it’s just not because of the *outside* noisy distractions of life. Often I just can’t find *quiet* within myself.
But I am reminded that God spoke to Elijah in a whisper. I am praying to always hear the still, small voice.
GOD BLESS!
