Jesus called them together and said,
“You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles
lord it over them,
and their high officials exercise authority over them.
Not so with you.
Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,
and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all.
~Mark 10:42-44 (NIV)

AMEN! Absolutely accurate in how our lives are supposed to be available and useful. Hope I can remember that during my less-than-kind stretches.

We’ve been looking at Mark in our current bible study. That last verse is such a convicting statement. And you have the perfect photo for it! Is it a nuthatch? (We have the Red-breasted Nuthatch here at times, often accompanying the chickadees to the bird feeder.)

…isn’t that the truth?! It sounds so backwards to aim to be lesser than others, but such rewards are found in it!
