A green Shoot will sprout from Jesse’s stump,
from his roots a budding Branch.
The life-giving Spirit of God will hover over him,
the Spirit that brings wisdom and understanding,
the Spirit that gives direction and builds strength,
the Spirit that instills knowledge and Fear-of-God.
Fear-of-God will be all his joy and delight.
~Isaiah 11:1-5 (Message)

How you glorify Him here in words and images. Lovely as a spring day, this post.
Have a wonderful week Sandra!
Thank you, Debra. Praying you sense His presence this week.
Sandra–so thankful for that ‘green shoot’–Jesus our Saviour.
God bless you this week–no more flying critter stories!
I like these wings so much better. 🙂
Our area started budding about two weeks ago. Last Sunday we went to a friends house and helped them with pruning the grapevines that they have. It was a really awesome experience as we shared in scripture the many verses that apply to pruning or being pruned. Thank you for sharing…I love the bird pictures!!
Love that you were able to bring Him right into your work. So many lessons in our everyday experience. Such an early spring this year. I needed it.
So much life in the budding and those words.
You take really good pictures of birds. They don’t like me. Or my camera. Or something. Thanks for bringing this verse to life. I’ll probably remember it like this for a long time to come…
cool photo – great verse to pair with it. thanks, kiddo.
We have a tree that is a late bloomer and I kept trying to figure out if it was going to bloom. Finally, it did and I literally felt like it was hope on a tree — a life-giving experience.
Beautiful. Thank you. 🙂
beautiful bird and scripture! have a blessed week
Is that a dark-eyed junco? He looks too big, but the spittin image. Beautiful, Sandy.
And your colors blend beautifully. Nice when a spiritual and natural mix is “eye-blessed”.
