Had I in some form
learned the future
would I have asked for
unanswered prayer
and would that prayer have
gone unanswered?
Would the gift of prayer for
unanswered prayer
have been
unanswered prayer
because He’s doing
something greater
than my prayer?
I pray to God—my life a prayer—
and wait for what he’ll say and do.
My life’s on the line before God, my Lord,
waiting and watching till morning,
waiting and watching till morning.
Psalm 130:5-6 (Message)
Sharing today with sweet Emily.

It seems like the prayer is unanswered in the waiting and watching time. But in His time, He answers and makes all things beautiful. Much easier to say than to live.
Blessings,
Janis

Hi, Sandra, I hopped over from Carol’s site. Lovely pictures and a thought provoking question. I do think an unanswered prayer is an answer. But it’s a tough one. Love your blog.

🙂 The prayer is not the goal, the change in us is what He’s always after. Good stuff, Sandra. Thanks.

If every prayer had been answered, I might not have been saved; I might not have known my husband; I would have divorces in my background…yes…unanswered prayer is an answered prayer in itself.
