Are you running on empty?
Exhausted?
Then slow down.
Dump excess weight.
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. ~Matthew 11:28 (NIV)
Are you hungry?
Then eat.
But eat to live.
I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. ~John 6:51 (NIV)
Have you lost your purpose?
Fill to be emptied.
Empty to be filled.
Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant . . . Philippians 2:5-7a (NASB)
Are you anxious and worried?
Then cling.
And trust.
Do not be anxious, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. ~Philippians 4:6
Are you enslaved by stuff?
Chasing the wind?
Then let it go!
Jesus looked him hard in the eye—and loved him! He said, “There’s one thing left: Go sell whatever you own and give it to the poor. All your wealth will then be heavenly wealth. And come follow me.”
The man’s face clouded over. This was the last thing he expected to hear, and he walked off with a heavy heart. He was holding on tight to a lot of things, and not about to let go. ~Mark 10:21-22 (Message)
Rest.

Love this! A needed reminder….feeling purposeless these days. Empty myself to be filled….to be used anew according to His desires. To be His servant.

I left a comment…it’s gone? I laughed. It’s how I have been feeling. Un-noticed, purposeless, invisible… Empty to be filled. Filled to be empty.
I am not without purpose. I am His.

You definitely aren’t unnoticed, purposeless, or invisible! By Him or me.
