Five Minute Fridays with Lisa Jo, the Gypsy Mama.
I’m going to try this.
At least most Fridays.
At least for awhile.
In addition to Friday’s meditation.
Because it’s good practice.
There are rules.
Which are: Throw caution to the wind, and write your heart out for five minutes.
Only.
And this week’s prompt is DEEP BREATH.
So . . .
GO!
Deep breath.
Of Him.
In sunshine mornings and rain-soaked earth.
Calming Comfort-slathered babies.
A bundled bouquet of lilacs, nose buried.
Deep breath of His calm in the midst of thunder.
My husband’s cologne-scented bathrobe.
Air laden with the aroma of just-baked chocolate chip cookies.
Fresh-mown lawn and just-washed sheets.
Of His words in His Word.
Deep breath of His joy in the midst of sadness.
His grace in the valley of guilt.
His love in the depths of grief.
His peace in paper-bag moments.
Deep breath of His presence in and through all.
Deep breath
Of Him.
STOP!
Now you try.
Breathing,
With your very own hands you formed me; now breathe in your wisdom over me so I can understand you. ~Psalm 119:73 (Message)
Blogger withdrawl. Saying hi!
LOL! Hi, David. Come back even if Blogger is behaving.
I find those deep breaths help renew me to His presence, too. Very descriptive five minute post!
Thanks, Caroline.
Beautiful. I think I’ve taken more deep breaths today than I have in a long time thanks to all of these posts I’m reading. 🙂
Me, too!
The sweet fragrance of your words is all grace …
Three of my favorite words in one sentence–sweet, fragrance, and grace.
i really like fresh washed sheets too. 🙂
Nothing like them. Especially dried on the line!
Paper bag as in when you begin to hyperventilate and need a little space to really, really breathe deep?? As always, love your word pictures (and the photo, too.) Glad you’re joining in this fun prompt!
Yep. I’ve had that experience, yes. A few times when my kids were teens. 😉
I’m always so glad to see you.
You’re so brave, Snady.
What a beautiful deep breath. The way the Spirit leads your mind continually amazes me.
I am going to try this one day, in the privacy of my home, and see if any words flow. Frankly, I’m a little frightened that I’ll draw a blank.
LYI!
Oh, I know you could do this! LYIM!
