The cracks are how the light shines in, and it is only by remaining aware of imperfection that we remain open to redemption and reform. ~Leonard Cohen
hidden heart room
veiled from sight
until the light
breaks through
the curtain cracked
flames bright
reveals the dirt
that melts
in muddy rivers
cleanses
and creates beauty
from jagged edges
golden fronds of
life
and light
to shine.
But everything exposed by the light becomes visible–and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. Ephesians 5:13-14 (NIV)
Note: I was fascinated by the window frost and snapped several pictures through it. I was mortified by the dirt revealed behind the shade as the sun peeked through the branches. Yet I took several photos at the same time through the same window. No flash.

Praying you let His light shine in and through the cracks.

The curtain cracked.
That is a beautiful line.

I never knew Leonard Cohen had such theological wisdom!
The melting of dirt to muddy rivers – Never thought of an image quite like that. There is profound meaning in this poem. The dirt can’t melt and create beauty until it is revealed by the light. We need those cracks in our lives.
Beautiful!
