Compassion is sometimes the fatal capacity for feeling what it is like to live inside somebody else’s skin. It is the knowledge that there can never really be any peace and joy for me until there is peace and joy finally for you, too. ~Frederick Buechner
In His compassion, He entered our skin.
It was a fatal choice.
So we could live forever.
This was a new see for me this morning.
His compassions never fail.
Note: Every day I use this cup, I think of Anne Lang Bundy. She gave it to me. She overflows with His compassion, and she is a deep see diver.
Praying you see and overflow with His compassion.

Lovely — ‘deep sea diver’ — what a gift.

the blue and white … so striking … as is His compassion for us
Sandra says
And so may we increase in compassion for others.
Cheryl Smith says
Great quote and love the blue and white in the photo!
Sandra says
One thing I forgot to mention is that I tried to choose a blue for my signature that matched the cup. Don’t know how well I succeeded, but the code ended in three letters–BFF. That tickled me. 😉

What a great quote. God intended us to covenant with Him and those He gives to us–such an important reality. Thank you, Sandra.
Sandra says
Thanks, Jason. That’s one of my favorite quotes. If I could just seal it in my heart.
Anne Lang Bundy says
Snady, that quote brings tears to my eyes.
When I think I’m being compassionate, I have to remind myself that it cannot be done lightly. If the literal meaning of compassion is “hurt with,” I have to be willing to love enough to hurt with someone, and not stop hurting before they do, waiting for the healing.
We serve a God Who waits with us, from the inside … and hurts with us in the waiting. His hurt for our sake is an expression of love so deep.
You can take me deep see diving any time. You become ever more precious to me.
