It’s a miracle morning
while men are mined
amid cheers and tears
as they emerge from
rock-sealed tomb
a half-mile journey
from the belly of the earth
where battle raged
in spirit realm
and God stretched out
His holy arm as
one and more grasped and passed
from darkness into light
embraced by grace.
Gracias.
Beautiful. Well said.
Thank you. And thanks for visiting.
Think we can all breathe a collective sigh of relief and say Gracias. Thoughtful One Shot of poetic lines and sighs of relief for those men.
And the last one is out. A great day.
Your work today is very topical; but has its universal aspect to–the realization that for some there seems to be intervention and a need for those particular lives in jeopardy for so long to be saved. The contemplation that rescue happens for some and not others is a haunting one and leaves us to ponder why. This captured so well in these lines: “where battle raged/ in spirit realm/ and God stretched out/ His holy arm as/ one and more grasped and passed/ from darkness into light” Thanks, Gay @beachanny
Gay, you said, “Your work today . . .” That stopped me in my tracks. Nobody has ever used those words before in response to my writing. It’s so (she struggles for the right word) validating. Thank you!
Perfectly said, Sandra, and so timely. Thank you! I’ve been watching the rescue on the news, praying it will go smoothly right to the end. 69 days! I can’t imagine it!
And they are all out. And so smoothly.
Thank you for reflecting on the wonder of the day, and the joy we all feel that these miners are finally getting out alive.
Alive and apparently in much better shape than anyone expected. Amazing.
nice. it was beautiful to see the first emerge last night and now we are half way…i so hope it continues to go well…it is a miracle you know…nice one shot!
Thanks, Brian. And they are celebrating!
Oh Sandra, this is beautiful. Gracias to you!
Thanks, Michelle.
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing this! 🙂
Thank you, Shari. And thanks for visiting.
Grace and Gracias and Grateful all share a common Latin root word: Gratia.
That’s very cool, Eric. Thanks for sharing that.
Love this. Thank you for the expression.
Hi, Dusty. Thanks.

Oh, wow! LYI.

🙂
Powerful words and imagery Sandra.
Quite beautiful!
Thanks so much, Louise.
Hi Sandy –
I watched the news as the first miner emerged. If strangers were so moved by the rescue, I can imagine how the men and their families felt.
God truly blessed the efforts of the Chilean government and people, who refused to give up and valued the lives of these men.
Blessings,
Susan 🙂
It’s still almost unbelievable that they got every single one out safely and so much sooner than expected.
“Men are mined.” I love that image.
Beautiful words around this thing that’s captivated the world.
We needed to be captivated by good news. We need to be captivated by Good News.
Thanks.
Wonderful. Love and Light, Sender
Wow. This is so beautiful. It’s been a long time – too long – since we’ve had such good news.
That’s beautifully written. Says so much
