My dear brothers and sisters,
take note of this:
Everyone
should be
quick
to listen,
slow
to speak
and
slow
to become angry,
because human anger does not
produce the righteousness
that God desires.
~James 1:19-20 (NIV)

Beautiful scripture. Beautiful graphics. Beautiful site! So glad I followed you at The Weekend Brew! One of my favorite (and convicting) scriptures. May you be blessed to witness God’s beautiful presence in every part of the week ahead!

And, yep, I gotta work on the “slow to speak” bit. EVEN if I don’t open my mouth, my family sees my eyes “talking”. I’m an overwhelming person. AND I’m a “birdy” person, too. And I sure liked this. As usual, you are a treat!

Being slow to speak is something I am constantly working on! Thanks for sharing at The Weekend Brew!

We may think we are so right, and in trying to convince someone else about the Scriptures, our human frailty and anger take over. That never does accomplish the righteous of God. I know. I’ve done that too often.

This Scripture is so simple to read, yet often difficult to follow through on. Thank you for this beautiful reminder today. Blessings.
