Find rest for your soul
in the desolate places.
Be still. Know He’s God.
A little poem inspired by chapter 1, “Desolate Places.”
Leaving some whitespace here this month as I rest with Bonnie.
In the stillness,

Thank you for inspiration today, Sandy!
Desolate Places
Down deep in your soul is an
Eternal place of rest, a place of
Solitude and serenity where you can go,
Oblivious to the cares of the world, where you can
Luxuriate in communion with God. When you are still,
Attuned to His heartbeat,
Turning your face from your cares to Him, you’ll
Experience rest and joy and
Peace. Mostly, you’ll sense His abiding
Love, so that your desolate place becomes
A place of abundance, a flourishing garden, a towering
Cathedral of worship where, in your solitude, you’re
Enriched by knowing Him as you never have before,
Surrounded by palpable presence, immersed in the fullness of His being.
