“Come to Me with a teachable spirit, eager to be changed.
“A close walk with Me is a life of continual newness.
“Do not cling to old ways as you step into a new year . . .

Welcome to Still Saturday where we pause after a busy week, move in quiet pilgrimage, maybe linger a while in some still place, and soak in the beauty of images and words. We’d love for you to join us. Get the details on the left, grab your favorite button, and link up below. We all love to hear if something especially speaks to your heart, but please don’t feel pressured to comment. Simply take some time to gaze long and drink deep.
I think you and I spent a lot of time this summer doing the exact same thing – trying to capture the beauty of the butterfly -and you did, Sandra – so beautifully! My camera has become a lense that helps me focus into Him – and what the messages He has for me! Wishing you stillness and Him in that stillness this weekend!
Oh yes, the elusive butterfly. You could hurt yourself chasing them around.
And I know exactly what you mean about the camera lens. It’s magnified Him for me.
A perfect quote for me to read tonight. Especially as I am pondering the *Word of the Year* that God has given me. I’m revealing it on Monday – but it’s going to be an adventure as God weaves this word into my life and my heart.
I truly do need to let go of my old ways, and give myself fully to HIS adventure.
Happy New Year, and GOD BLESS!
“Adventure” would be a good word… 🙂
Oh so beautiful. Waiting, in anticipation, for what He has to say. Blessings!
So beautiful, Sandra…I love my “Jesus Calling.” I love you.
Grace and peace to you this cold weekend, Sandy. This is beautiful. Love you, friend.
A wonderful sight on a wintery day.
Good Morning, Sandra ~
I love the richness that Sarah has brought to our devotional lives with her books! I read a passage here at home {just about} every day, and then share a favorite reading with clients at the counseling office.
She never fails to leave an imprint on our souls … and her words always speak to what needs to be addressed. Gently, oh so gently.
Thank you for sharing her words today. Stay warm!
Such gorgeous butterflies. Truly, they magnify the Creator and glorify His Name.
Caring through Christ, ~ linda
“A close walk with Me is a life of continual newness” – how true that is! I think of Bill Graham, whose message has never changed (and never should!) yet each time he preaches it hearts are encouraged and lives are changed. And so we are changed, continually, as we walk along with Him. Thank you for sharing, Sandy – have a blessed week! PS love the butterflies!
We started Jesus Calling again this year — such a blessing! Gorgeous photos of one of my favorite subjects! Thanks for hosting & God bless.
Hi
Just wonderful. I read that too. But your butterflies are awesome.
Blessings and Happy New Year,
Janis http://www.janiscox.com
I loved your photos as butterflies have always amazed me. I used “Jesus Calling” last year & was so blessed each & every morning. May we remain ever teachable , eager to change & always experiencing His Presence. Blessings!
I want to be on that adventure too … being attentive to His presence – beautiful, Sandy!
Alas, I am rarely “eager to by changed…” but I do love the beauty of the butterfly. 🙂
Lord, help me be more eager, and less set in my ways. Amen
