I’m a summertime gal. Bring on the sun, the heat, the sweat. Let me rock on the porch with a glass of iced tea, sporting a pair of shorts and my Tigers T-shirt, inhaling the scent of petunias.
Or give me springtime, air heavy with the fragrance of lilacs, pregnant with new life, the first robin.
Or even autumn, ablaze with color, hand-plucked apples, the aroma of wood smoke.
But winter? It’s so long. And so cold. And messy.
But today… today is one of those days in which I love winter.
I’m telling why over at BibleDude.net this morning. I’ve posted more photos there. 🙂

I love this photo, reminds me of a very similar scene on a foggy morning last week only instead of falling snow you could see the mist going by.
I love fog, too, Kim. As long as I’m not driving in it. 🙂

Beautiful image! And yeah for winter in Michigan. 😀
Thanks, Shelli. Did you run over to BibleDude to see the other photos? And it looks like another storm coming–but maybe not quite so pretty.
I just love seeing winter images…it seems like we’ve barely had one so I enjoy seeing everyone elses chilly views.
We used to have a lot more snow when I was a child. I’m sure of it.

Beautiful winter photo. Wonderful words. I share your views on the seasons, but rarely find anything so beautiful in winter.
Thanks so much, Gracie. I think each season has its own beauty if we have eyes to see.
So pretty…love the falling snow!

Wonderful image, Sandra. I’m so jealous of those of you who can take snow photos. Very cool. And I’m not a summer girl, as you well know. =) Headed over to Bible Dude right now…. xox
But I’m thinking you might find the winter cold pretty hard on you, Patricia…
Who would love winter when they see this. This is a beautiful shot!! I’m jealous.
Lovely and serene, beautifully captured.

I agree, winter is not my favorite season either, but sometimes, it can be beautiful. Brilliant blue skies, white mountains, a warm fire, family tucked in warm and safe looking out at a winter wonderland. If no one needs to go out, I can enjoy that kind of winter. Beautiful picture, Sandy.
