I go to a “new” St. Mary’s Catholic church, built in 1910. The old sanctuary, next door, was built in the 1860s. Both churches are built of limestone. I should try to get a shot like that but, hey, I’m not Sandy.
Beautiful capture. I love the sun flare. The church looks awesome.

I don’t think this church is used much any more, but it’s always been a landmark in town. It’s now known as the Mt. Carmel Centre, and I found this site that includes some interior photos. http://www.otsego.org/mtcarmel/
This blesses me, Sandy. My parents have been with the Lord for a while now and it was a strange feeling the first time I realized that I was an “orphan”. Praise God that He is our Father and will never leave us.
Father of orphans, caring for widows, etc…. some of my favorite scriptural verses describe the constant care of our Lord for the poorest and weakest and most struggling. You poured it in my heart, Lady, again.

“…the poorest and weakest and most struggling.” Love that, Joanne.
This is so special to me, as one of my best friends was a widow for over seven years and believe me it was a very hard road… she is happily married now.

I can’t imagine what it would be like to travel that road alone.
A lovely reminder of God’s eternal presence and care for all of His children. I took a moment to check out the photos on the website… such beautiful stained glass.
Cool flare! Love this picture!
Let’s have lunch again soon, m’kay?
You don’t need to ask twice!
He is our light and hope … neat image.
🙂

Just lucky. 🙂
I’d love to see pictures.

He was a father to my little one while I was a single mom…and then he placed the lonely in a family…
