They called him every name in the book and he said nothing back. He suffered in silence, content to let God set things right. He used his servant body to carry our sins to the Cross so we could be rid of sin, free to live the right way. His wounds became your healing. You were lost sheep with no idea who you were or where you were going. Now you’re named and kept for good by the Shepherd of your souls. ~ 1 Peter 2:23-25 (Message)
Learn to know Christ and him crucified. Learn to sing to him, and say, “Lord Jesus, you are my righteousness, I am your sin. You have taken upon yourself what is mine and given me what is yours. You have become what you were not so that I might become what I was not.” ~Martin Luther
Remembering the day I lay stretched out on the floor and begged God to let me feel some semblance of what Jesus felt that day. To let me bear some of His pain. But I sensed Him say, “It’s over. Done. Finished. It’s not your pain to bear.“

What a clever cross, your photo and the one used by our God.
Blessings this Easter weekend.

Sandy, what a creative photo. And that portion of scripture made me think about how important it is to be understood, to explain myself in times of misunderstanding. Yet, Jesus just didn’t say a word.

That first verse is an immediate response to a prayer this morning. Say nothing and let God set things right. Amen.

Sorry Snady — the linky thing wasn’t working right — kept telling me to try again… then posted multiple times —
think it needs the same peace we all need!

I don’t know why it always takes me by surprise–how these emotions flood during Holy week. I guess I think I’m in touch with this all year long, but not so, I guess. Perhaps it’s the way the world is full of reminders this time of year that makes the pain so vivid. But…Sunday. We are almost there, Sandy.

This says so many things to my heart. Beautiful. The picture, too. How all the electric lines and poles frustrate my picture-taking! — and you made use of them so wonderfully!
Thank you, too, for this lovely link-up!
