Scripture Sunday: Grace Graffiti

February 26, 2012 By Sandra Heska King

I call to you, God, because I’m sure of an answer.
So—answer!
Bend your ear!
Listen sharp!
Paint grace-graffiti on the fences;
take in your frightened children who are running
from the neighborhood bullies straight to you.
~Psalm 17:6-7 (Message)

    I LOVE that fence! I think I might have to ask my kids to build me a small version of that in one of the gardens (great Mother’s Day project)so they can each design a few boards. Would be sooo much fun!

    I love it!! That’s exactly the kind of fence I would like. It would/could catch a lot of attention that is necessary. It would be fun to mix scriptures into it. That was a treat!

      A scripture fence! Hemmed in with the Word.

      It might be could to do one with words from a Wordle from a favorite passage.

      Great thought, CaryJo.

    The Message Bible is fascinating! Will have to pick one up to read it my next time through the Bible. A whole new perspective. I am not a “white-picket fence” dreamer, but this fence, around a lush garden, full of creativity and shelter. Love it!!

    What great photos, Sandra! I have a New Testament in the Message version … it certainly gives us a whole new perspective for images to add to the scriptures, or vice-a-versa! lol! This photo is just right for this verse from it … and I love this verse in any version … it’s so comforting to know that He will hear, and save us! 🙂 I’ve got to get a copy of the Message Bible in the Old Testament, too!! 🙂 I’m visiting from Katie’s site, again! Have a great week! Blessings ~

A tale of two iguanas... I did not see the iguana A tale of two iguanas... I did not see the iguana in the background until I downloaded the photos. That, I believe, is the one that got caught in one of the openings in the neighbor's chain link fence. We tried in several (safe) ways to dislodge it without luck and could think of no other option but to leave it. Somehow it apparently dislodged itself. We also believe this is the pair that was getting into another neighbor's garden. We haven't seen either one since the last cold snap, so we are wondering if they survived.

Thinking some may have tumbled from their perches last night. Pretty sure it will be raining iguanas tonight since we are under a frost advisory. It's cold. And windy.
