Last Sunday we woke up to a winter wonderland.
Cold.
Blustery.
Beautiful.
Of course, I had to run outside and capture it.
I shut the flash off on the little girl camera.
And then I switched to auto and let the flash go off.
I was unprepared for what I would see.
The light revealed unexpected beauty.

Those are so beautiful.
Sandra says
Thanks, Michael! Just think of what beauty can be revealed if we stand in the Light.

You know, I have not yet had a chance to learn to photograph snow like that…
Sandra says
I should have lots of chances to practice over the next 3 or 4 months. I hope Santa sees fit to leave a little gift coupon toward a new camera. Of course, maybe I should really learn to use what I have first.

There is something that is so quiet and peaceful about snow falling…and you have captured it. Very beautiful.
Sandra says
Thank you, Carol.
Mel says
Sandy…the pictures are beautiful! Funny how light and beauty always go hand in hand. Those pictures are definitely a reminder of that. It’s like our Christmas tree we put up last night. Definitely a nice tree but it’s something about the lights coming on that make it truly breathtaking!
Sandra says
Nothing like shutting off everything but the tree lights. Merry Christmas, Mel.
Carol J. Garvin says
Beautiful! And it certainly gives new meaning to “light shining in the darkness” and to standing in the presence of him who is the light of the world!
