past writings

Poem about a Detroit Tigers-New York Yankees game that I attended in 1963 sent to George Kell and Ernie Harwell along with an autograph book. They returned it with every team member’s signature. Don’t know what happened to the poem. Don’t ask me what happened to the autograph book. It’s too painful to talk about.

Nancy Drew type story about catching bad guys on our lake. Sent to the local newspaper (just like Jo March.) It was rejected, and I burned it.

Articles published in The Christian Writer, Evangel, and Today’s Christian Parent with a reprint in a perpetual calendar.

Wrote, edited, and compiled a monthly church newsletter that included member interviews, articles, puzzles, and quizzes.

Snady’s Snippets–medical transcription tips served with a touch of humor and a load of chocolate.

Monthly CMT (certified medical transcriptionist) exam prep quizzes for Plexus, a trade magazine.

Devotionals that will appear in a daily guide to be published by Tyndale House next year.

I can’t remember not writing. Letters, journals, poems, stories, lists, studies, talks. I started my serious journey in the early 1980s but then wandered in the land of life and family for 25 years. With a vague discontent. Until I realized.

Writing is my one thing. My passion.

“I love writing. I love the swirl and swing of words as they tangle with human emotions.” ~James Michener
