scripture sunday: the romans project: romans 1:1-6

romans project, romans 1:1-2

romans project, romans 1:3-4

romans project, romans 1:5-6

I’ve decided to post the scriptures I’ve memorized through The Romans Project. Ann Voskamp is leading a group as we hide Romans 1, 8, and 12 in our hearts. It’s my new habit, and it seems a daunting task. Maybe posting these verses will help keep me accountable. (Click on the photo to view it larger.)

“Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God–the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy Scriptures regarding his Son, who as to his earthly life was a descendant of David, and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord. Through him we received grace and apostleship to call all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith for his name’s sake. And you also are among those Gentiles who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.” ~Romans 1:1-6

I was so motivated by her scripture memorizing Sandy. What struck me was the sermon that we should always carry with us our sword. Love what you have memorized and sharing your accomplishment!
